Fall is right around the corner which means it’s time for college football, leather jackets, cute boots, a new hair color, and most importantly, FALL MAKEUP. I’ll admit, I like to wear my favorite colors year around instead of by season. However, I do like to keep up with the latest trends and collections to see what’s hot in the makeup streets. With that said, I would like to share three of my favorite makeup tends for fall 2013 from Vogue Beauty.
1. The Minimalist- This look is all about skin. Start with a clean, moisturized face, add some blush, two coats of mascara, and a sheer lip gloss and you’re good to go. If you’re like me and still think you need a little extra something on your face, try a BB Cream or very lightweight powder foundation, then apply the other products.
2. Bold Lips- This is my favorite trend because I am a bold lip girl. I love a bright pink, purple or red on the weekends or at happy hour. If you’re going to wear a bold lip, I would tone down the eyes with just eyeliner and mascara. If I’m going out on the town, I will throw a little eyeshadow on, but I don’t want to take away from my bold lip. Also, be sure to use a lip liner to give a more defined lip and stop the lipstick from bleeding around the lips.
3. Metallic Eyeshadow- I’ll be honest the above pic is a bit too bold of an eyeshadow for me, but I do love the color. If you want to try this look with more natural colors that can be worn to work, I would go for Urban Decay’s Naked Palette. The Naked Palette can easily take you from work to a night out on the town. For pics of the palette, check out my post here.
I would love to know your thoughts on the three trends I’ve highlighted. Feel free to leave comments below.
