Yesterday I posted about wearing my Make Up For Ever HD Foundations again. Well, thankfully my face didn’t turn into an oil slick, but my t-zone did get a little shiny and I didn’t get as much coverage as I would like. I will continue to work with these two and try a primer and building more coverage.
Now onto my exciting haul…
After calling multiple MAC counters looking for Candy Yum Yum, I finally found it!! *insert happy& excited face here* I was so thirsty for this lipstick that I picked it up on my lunch break. Again, I love the color of this lipstick and the best part is I got it for free! I returned 6 Back 2 MAC products, so yesterday was a win. (The lipstick retails for $15)
Below are pics of the lipstick in the tube, no flash and flash.
In the pic with the four lips, the top pic is the color with no flash, second is a flash, third is with MAC Magenta liner and the fourth is with MAC Dazzleglass Funtabulou on top on the lipstick and liner.
Tips: This is a very Matte lipstick so make sure your lips are moisturized or do a lip scrub. The chapped lips with the matte lipstick is not a good look!
Also while in the MAC store, I picked up a Cremesheen lipstick in Saigon Summer and Cremesheen glass in Rising Sun. I was drawn to the gloss because of the pretty orange color, but once I put it on there wasn’t as much orange as I would have liked, so the sales associate showed me the lipstick with the gloss and I loved it.
What I love about this Cremesheen gloss is that it’s not sticky to me like MAC’s lipglasses and doesn’t leave that white line either. The lipstick retails for $15 and the gloss is $18.
I also purchased 3 nail polishes from Target and I wore the hot pink today to match my skirt.
While attending The MakeUp Show in Chicago last summer everyone was raving about Make Up For Ever’s HD Foundation, so of course I had to check it out. I first purchased shade 173 but it was a tad too light, so Iwent back and got shade 177. When I mix the two I get the perfect shade.
It’s been a while since I’ve used these two shades together. For the last two months or so I’ve been mixing the HD 173 with my MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC 50, but this morning I decided to go back to my HD. I can’t remember why I stopped using the two HD foundations, but today I will find out. I have oily skin so I’m hoping I don’t turn into an oil slick by 1:00. I posted a pic below and just looking at it, I think I need more coverage but that’s probably just the Studio Fix side of me.
I hope I fall in live with these two again…
On top of the foundation I used MAC’s Mineralize Skin Finish in Dark and on my lips is Tom Ford’s lipstick in Sable Smoke with NARS gloss Supervixxen.
